San Rafael with the Kellers

We had a quick little trip June 23-24 to the San Rafael Swell with our friends.  Jared needed to scope out the area for scout camp the following weekend so we took the side by sides and made a party of it.

Matthew at 6 months

Matthew's 6 month stats:

Height: 26.2 in (20%)

Weight 18.3 lbs (60%)

Matthew is getting the hang of the rolling business.  He isn't great at going from his tummy to his back but is getting better.  

He sure is grabby.  For such a little guy he's quick and has a long reach. 

He's pretty attached to mom.

Naps are unpredictable. 

Still waking up once at night to eat.

Loves to be where the action is.  He's happiest around lots of people. He's very much a watcher- and likes to see what's going on.  It makes it harder to feed him since if there's any noise he'll stop eating to see what it is.

Since he's 6 months old he also gets to start solid foods... this is the aftermath.  He seemed to like it pretty well for a first feeding.

She was so so happy to ride on the Ferris wheel and wanted to ride everything! I snuck Ben onto one of the little kid rides and he was in heaven.  

Fun-a-rama.  Kind of a disappointment this year.  Last year was amazing.  This year there were about 6-7 bounce houses. Not quite adequate for the hundreds of kids.

We also went to the Rodeo, the Splish Splash swim at the pool, and watched the fireworks from our front yard.

Matthew at 5 months

Matthew has just started rolling over. 

He actually likes his pacifier.  It's a new thing for me, but it's really helpful.

Caroline is his favorite.

He's still kinda hit or miss with a bottle.

He'll usually take a morning nap, afternoon nap, and a pre-bedtime catnap.

We sure love having him in our family. Ben and Caroline are so sweet to him- most of the time.

Hot Pots with Gma and Gpa Leckie

Grandma and Grandpa came out for a quick trip at end of April.  Grandpa helped us put up a chain-link fence around our back grassy area and then we took the camper down to the hot pots for an over-nighter.  We saw the lava tubes and went swimming.  Nice little trip and fun to share one of our favorite spots with my parents.
